The movable jaw is suspended on the mandrel and can swing left and right. When the eccentric shaft rotates, the connecting rod reciprocates up and down, driving the two thrust plates to reciprocate, thereby pushing the movable jaw to reciprocate left and right to realize crushing and discharging. This type of crusher uses a crank double-link mechanism. In addition, when this kind of crusher is working, the movement trajectory of each point on the movable jaw is a circular arc centered on the mandrel, and the radius of the arc is equal to the distance from the point to the center of the shaft.

The simple pendulum jaw crusher has a compact and simple structure, and the transmission parts such as the eccentric shaft are less stressed. Due to the small vertical displacement of the movable jaw, there is less excessive crushing of the material during processing, and the wear of the movable jaw plate is small.

The upper end of the movable jaw is directly suspended on the eccentric shaft as the connecting rod of the crank linkage mechanism. Directly driven by the eccentricity of the eccentric shaft, the lower end of the movable jaw is supported to the rear wall of the frame with a thrust plate hinged. When the eccentric shaft rotates, the trajectory of each point on the movable jaw is from the circumference line of the suspension point, and gradually turns downward into an ellipse, and the lower the lower, the more the ellipse deviates until the trajectory of the connection point between the lower part and the thrust plate is a circular arc.

The weight is lighter, the components are less, the structure is more compact, the filling degree of the crushing cavity is better, the loaded material blocks are evenly crushed, and the lower end of the movable jaw is forced to push out the finished product to discharge, so the productivity is high.

When the jaw crusher is working, the movable jaw plate reciprocates periodically against the fixed jaw plate, sometimes approaching and sometimes leaving. When approaching, the material is squeezed, split, impacted and broken between the two jaws. When leaving, the crushed material is discharged from the discharge port by gravity.

The material is poured into the crushing chamber containing the molars from the top inlet, and the molars force the material to the wall of the chamber with great force, breaking it into smaller stones. What supports the movement of the molars is an eccentric shaft, and the eccentric shaft runs through the fuselage frame. Eccentric motion is usually produced by a flywheel fixed at both ends of the shaft. Flywheels and eccentrically supported bearings often use spherical roller bearings, and the bearings must withstand huge shock loads.


The rack is a four-walled rigid frame with upper and lower openings. It is mainly used to support the eccentric shaft and bear the reaction force of the broken material. It requires sufficient strength and rigidity. It is generally cast in one piece with cast steel. The frame of the mainframe needs to be cast in sections, and then firmly connected into a whole with bolts. The casting process is complicated. The frame of small jaw crusher can also be welded with thick steel plates, but the rigidity is poor.

Fixed jaws and movable jaws

Both the fixed jaw and the movable jaw are composed of a jaw bed and a jaw plate. The jaw plate is the working part, fixed on the jaw bed with bolts and wedge iron. The jaw bed of the fixed jaw is the frame front wall. The movable jaw bed must have sufficient strength and rigidity to withstand the crushing reaction force, so most of them are cast steel or iron castings.

Transmission parts

The eccentric shaft is the main shaft of the crusher, which is subject to huge bending torque and is made of high carbon steel. The eccentric part must be finished, heat treated, and the bearing lining is cast with Babbitt alloy. One end of the eccentric shaft is equipped with a pulley, and the other end is equipped with a flywheel.
